Take complete command of your sail shape with the Allen Laser / ILCA Lower Vang Unit. Engineered for competitive sailors, this unit offers the ultimate control over your vang line. By mounting the cam cleat to a smooth-rotating swivel, it ensures you can pull and release the vang control line effortlessly from any angle, inboard or hiked, with minimal friction.
Under heavy loads, conventional systems can bind or tangle. The block formation of this Allen vang unit is specifically designed to ensure the control line remains twist-free, providing reliable and immediate adjustments. Installation is straightforward, easily attaching directly to the Laser / ILCA mast tang with a simple nut and bolt.
For added versatility, the unit features a removable clevis pin, perfectly positioned to be used as a dead-end for your Cunningham control line. At the heart of the holding power is the A.677 Allenite cam cleat. Featuring an optimized jaw profile for snappy cleating and uncleating, the A.677 is molded from Allenite—a proprietary material developed specifically to offer low weight and excellent heat dissipation, significantly increasing wear resistance compared to standard acetal cleats.
